Two resolutions have been approved by the Hawaii State Legislature
recognizing July 13, 2012 as “Collector Car Appreciation Day.” Earlier
this year, SEMA designated this date to mark the third commemoration in
what has become an annual event to raise awareness of the vital role
automotive restoration and collection plays in American society. SEMA is
again working to secure a U.S. Congressional resolution to recognize
the day’s significance.
Resolutions have been introduced in the Hawaii House of Representatives

This annual event is held each year at the Spring Carlisle in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The New Products Showcase affords member-companies the opportunity to display their product(s) in front of one of the single-largest gatherings of automotive restoration enthusiasts in the world. The 2010 Spring Carlisle event featured 2,000 collector and special-interest vehicles for sale and 8,100 vendor spaces.
