Eaton Introduces Master Differential Install Kits
Power-management company Eaton announced that its Vehicle Group now offers Master Differential Install Kits that simplify the process of upgrading to an Eaton aftermarket differential. Each kit contains all the components needed to properly install an Eaton differential and/or replace a ring and pinion.
The new kits help with the installation of popular Eaton aftermarket differentials, including ELocker, PosiTM, Detroit Truetrac, and Detroit Locker. Eaton’s family of differentials provide improved traction in adverse conditions, such as snow, mud, or rock crawling, as well as increased stability while trailering. The differentials also enhance performance for racing vehicles where less wheel slip can mean better track times.
Eaton’s Master Differential Install Kits are available for popular applications, including Jeep JL/JT, GM, Chrysler and Ford 9-in. axles. Additional axle applications will be available in early 2022.
MAHLE Motorsport Introduces 2022 Porsche Application Guide
MAHLE Motorsport introduced a new 2022 Application Guide for Porsche. The guide offers a complete listing of all Porsche specific piston kit applications and features a new Porsche 911 2.5L Short Stroke application on page three. The new application guide has been redesigned to be more user-friendly with sections of Water-Cooled and Air-Cooled listings subdivided into four groups based on engine size and application.
MAHLE’s Porsche pistons are machined from forgings with narrower and shorter skirts to reduce weight and friction and are dual coated with Phosphate and MAHLE’s proprietary GRAFAL skirt coating to reduce drag, wear and noise. Piston kits are supplied with performance ring sets made from stronger, more durable materials that are designed to provide more consistent contact with the cylinders resulting in increased sealing and oil control.

Centerforce Clutches Adds New Twin Disc Clutch and Flywheel Kit for Chevy Big Block Motors
Centerforce has released its new SST (Solid Street Twin) 10.4-in. Twin Disc Clutch and Flywheel Kit that is compatible with the Chevrolet ZZ454 big block motor that features a 1-⅛-in.-26 spline transmission. The SST is a true twin-disc clutch, designed and engineered for vehicles producing up to 925 lb.-ft. of torque.
The SST clutch system is an economical choice for streetcar enthusiasts looking for a complete high-quality twin-disc clutch system. Twin-disc clutches spread the torque load between the two-clutch discs, offering longer clutch life, and smooth engagement. The SST also utilizes solid hubs to reduce the rotational weight on the input shaft for quick, clean shifts.
The kit includes a lightened billet steel flywheel, providing low inertia that results in quicker RPM and the Centerforce anti-rattle system, which reduces floater plate noise, resulting in quieter and smoother shifting. The Centerforce SST 10.4-in. Twin Disc Clutch and Flywheel Kit (PN: 412615748) comes ready for installation and includes a billet steel flywheel, two discs, floater plate, pressure plate, pilot bearing, alignment tool, and ARP pressure plate and flywheel hardware.
Cobra Electronics Unveils Smart Dash Cameras With Alexa Built-In and Real-Time Alerts
Cobra Electronics unveiled the newest addition to its existing Cobra SC Series lineup, the Cobra SC 400 and SC 400D Smart Dash Cameras. The new dash cams empower drivers to be more aware of what's happening on their drive and come equipped with Ultra HD 4K video resolution, Alexa built-in, and are capable of recording three cameras (front, rear, and cabin views) simultaneously.
Available for purchase in Best Buy stores and online, as well as through Cobra.com, the products will be one of the most advanced dash cameras on the market today. The models leverage the all-new Drive Smarter app and driver community platform to create a smarter and safer driving experience.
New HYDRAMAX Under-Dash Hydraulic Clutch System for Chevrolet/GM C10 Trucks
American Powertrain introduced the HYDRAMAX true bolt-in, under-dash Hydraulic Clutch Systems, a kit designed for ’67-’72 Chevy C10 trucks. The new system features an integrated under-dash hydraulic master cylinder and a bolt-in clutch pedal. The included clutch pedal allows for an easy conversion to hydraulic, or an automatic car to manual.
The new HYDRAMAX kit includes a master cylinder, clutch pedal, lines and a billet HYDRAMAX hydraulic slave cylinder bearing. The conical slave cylinder is pre-bled, dual sealed and comes with shims to adjust the distance to the clutch fingers for any type of clutch set-up. Included is a billet reservoir to finish out the install. These kits work with any TREMEC transmission including the T5, TKO/TKX and T-56 Magnum six-speed.
Hot Shot’s Secret Introduces 10w-30 Blue Diamond PAO Diesel Engine Oil
Hot Shot’s Secret expanded its Blue Diamond PAO diesel engine oil line with a new 10w-30 offering for heavy-duty use diesel powered vehicles. All Hot Shot’s Secret Blue Diamond Oils utilize 100% poly-alpha-olefin (PAO) Group IV synthetic oil and high-quality Group V esters for a 100% synthetic formula. Hunter Engineering BL Series Bench Lathes With New Tablet
Hunter Engineering announced the addition of a tablet to its BL Series of bench lathes, bringing a range of information to the technician’s fingertips in an intuitive, user-friendly display. Previously, to find the rotor’s minimum thickness or maximum drum diameter, the technician had to search for it on the equipment itself. With the new tablet, the operator can look up the vehicle and access the specifications immediately.
The tablet then calculates the distance between the cutting bits on the lathe and compares it live to the specifications. When the bits move beyond the specs, the screen turns red. When they stay within, the screen remains green.
The tablet also displays information on the depth of cuts, speeds and settings, as well as offers training videos and helpful animations to guide the technician through various procedures.
