Federal-Mogul Motorparts has launched its Garage Gurus regional training centers to provide technicians with a comprehensive, technical education platform. In addition to the original facility in St. Louis, Missouri, three more Garage Gurus centers are opening this month in the Bronx, New York; Skokie, Illinois; and Van Nuys, California. As part of Federal-Mogul's “Tech First” initiative, and its mission to attract millenials and retrain veteran technicians on how to work on today's vehicles, Garage Gurus provides training and other support for thousands of technicians, service writers and shop owners.

Up to 15 training centers, with a combined reach of more than 67,000 vehicle-repair locations, are expected to be in operation by the end of the year. These facilities will be staffed by more than 100 “Gurus” certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

Each Garage Gurus training center will include classrooms and multiple vehicle repair/training bays equipped with the latest diagnostic tools. Operating from these facilities will be web-connected “Gurus-On-The-Go” product technology vans that will visit repair shops and technicians throughout each region.

The Garage Gurus curriculum comprises more than 100 diagnostic and repair courses, including onsite workshops, field clinics and distance learning modules and webinars offered at www.FMgaragegurus.com. All training, product demonstrations and related assistance are available in English and Spanish languages.
