This camouflaged Audi Q3 prototype was caught in action on the roads of Northern Europe. Spotted by the shooters at Brenda Priddy & Co., the prototype sports distinctive headlights, sleek taillights, a prominent grille and a sloping roofline that Brenda Priddy says mimics the Cross Coupe Quattro Concept from the 2007 Shanghai Motor Show.
The Q3 will share the PQ35 chassis with the Volkswagen Tiguan, according to Priddy, but with a sportier-tuned suspension. For the U.S. market, Priddy reports that the engine lineup should start with the turbo-charged, 2.0L, which will push a little more than 200 hp. Other than those details, it is not clear if the U.S. market will be offered a diesel, hybrid or other up-market powertrain.
The Q3 should go into production at the SEAT factory in Martorell, Spain, later this year.
