Brenda Priddy's network of auto-spy photographers caught this BMW Z4 prototype with its top down. Priddy says there's still speculation that the Z4 will have a retractable hard-top, but most sources tell her that the base model will still offer a soft-top. The upgraded version will likely offer a removable hard-top. The Spartanburg-built Z4 will now call Regensburg, Germany, home, with production starting late in 2009.
