As was speculated last year, the Genesis will undergo a freshening for
the 2012 model year and will offer a new eight-speed transmission. Last
time the spy network at Brenda Priddy & Co. set their crosshairs on
the ’12 Genesis, engineers kept the shifter covered up. Today, the
camouflage is off the shifter, and the exterior of the car.
Audi unveiled its high-riding A4 Allroad at the 2009 Geneva Motor
show, and at that time, it was thought the vehicle's future was for
European roads only. However, judging from some recent photos supplied
by Brenda Priddy and her team of shooters, that may be about to change.
Brenda Priddy's team of spy shooters caught these pictures of fire meeting
ice as the 550-plus hp Camaro Z/28 conducts a late-season cold-weather
test run.
Ford's European products have been finding their way to our shores
during the past year, and today we've got the first evidence of another
headed our way—the U.S. spec, 2012 Ford Grand C-Max!
The spy shooters at Brenda Priddy & Co. have reported sightings of
several of these early "mule" vehicles around Metro Detroit. At first,
they assumed the vehicle pictured was just the updated Mondeo with
camouflage left on. While it's not unusual to see foreign-market cars
in Detroit, the shooters did find it odd to see at least a dozen of
these test cars undergoing lots of testing from the engineers in
Detroit. When Priddy's team asked their Ford contacts what the car was,
they received an answer along the lines of "you know the next Fusion,
MKX and Mondeo are moving to one global chassis, right?"
Last time the shooters at Brenda Priddy & Co. set their sights on
Ford's Fiesta-based CUV undergoing tests, it was winding its way up the
mountains in Europe. Here are some shots of the small CUV riding the
roads in Southeast Michigan.
With the Chrysler 200 sedan just starting to roll out, Chrysler
engineers have started working on the next variant—the 200 convertible.
Spy shooter Brenda Priddy and her team snagged these photos of a
soft-top 200 prototype out for a very brisk test run.
SEMA manufacturing members are invited to get up close with the Juke, Nissan's
all-new crossover. This compact ride features a 1.6L 4-cyl. Direct
Injection Gasoline (DIG) turbo engine that packs 188 hp at 5,600 rpm.
SEMA manufacturing members can take the tape to the new Juke on
December 8, from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (PST), in Diamond Bar, California.
The spy-shooting sleuths at Brenda Priddy & Co. recently captured
shots of VW's new sedan out for a late-season, desert-testing run.
Referred to as the NMS (as in “new midsize sedan”), this new car will
fit in after the Jetta in VW’s lineup, but Priddy is not sure if it
will replace the Passat, be named Passat in the States or be in
addition to the new Passat. However, Priddy believes that based on what
she saw, the car will replace the Passat here in North America because
they are simply too similar in size to warrant both cars.
We're used to seeing lots of Mercedes, BMW and Audi test cars on the
Nurburgring, but today we've caught something a little different and
much more bizarre-looking!
