The annual SEMA Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Education Day will be held, for the first time, in conjunction with the Detroit Autorama—the 60-year-old custom car show taking place in March 2014 at Cobo Hall in Detroit. The program will consist of 24 sessions, each led by a hot-rod parts manufacturer educating attendees about product features, benefits and installation guidelines.
The U.S. Senate passed Senate Resolution 176 (S. Res. 176) designating July 12, 2013, as Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD). The Resolution was requested by SEMA and its Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) and Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) councils.
The Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) is dedicated to preserving and
promoting the hot-rod industry. HRIA members consist of hot-rod
manufacturers, builders/fabricators, dealers, car clubs and enthusiast
publications. HRIA welcomes two new members.
The Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) will once again host its Education & Training program in conjunction with the 15th Annual 2013 Hotrod and Restoration Show taking place March 14–16, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

Addressing the threat of counterfeit product remains a SEMA high priority. In response, the Association and its Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA), Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC) and Street Performance Council (SPC) are sponsoring an anti-counterfeiting seminar at the SEMA Show and making an FBI special agent available for one-on-one member meetings.
