Lawmakers have ruled in favor of SEMA and EcoLogic partners, stating the California Coastal Commission does not have the authority to prohibit motorized recreational and overnight camping access at the dunes located near Pismo Beach.

The area is a premier destination for enthusiasts and tourists as the only off-road park in the state offering direct access to the Pacific Ocean.

Litigation is scheduled for a June 15 hearing in the California Superior Court of San Luis Obispo.
