presented by eBay Motors, will take place at 12:00 p.m., Friday, July
27, 2012, at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Convention Center in
Pomona, California.
Pinewood vehicles, built by children from Childhelp and Victory Junction Camp, will race against the clock during the SEMA Pinewood Drag Races on July 29. With a donation of only $95, you can personally sponsor one of the childrens' vehicles and help these worthy charities.

All members of the association are invited to join the newly elected
Board volunteers and the entire 2011–2012 SEMA Board of Directors for
an evening of celebration and recognition at the SEMA Installation
Banquet & Gala Fundraiser, which takes place Friday, July 29, 2011,
at the Renaissance Hotel in Long Beach, California.
Hundreds of leaders and professionals from the specialty-equipment
industry will gather to honor noteworthy icons and volunteers during
the 2011 SEMA Installation Banquet & Gala Fundraiser on Friday,
July 29, at the Renaissance Hotel in Long Beach, California.
The 2011 HRIA Builder's Challenge is beginning to take shape with an
incredible class of hot-rod builders. These builders will create and
race one-of-a-kind pinewood cars at the annual SEMA Cares Pinewood Drag Races, presented by eBay Motors,
on July 29, at the Renaissance Hotel in Long Beach, California. All of
these pinewood cars will be on display at the HRIA booth during the 2011 SEMA Show
from November 1–4 in Las Vegas before being placed on eBay for public
auction. All of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Childhelp and Victory Junction Gang Camp children’s charities.

Mike Spagnola, president of Street Scene Equipment and a key SEMA Show
‘N Shine car show organizer, is encouraging all members of the industry
to step up and answer SEMA President and CEO Chris Kersting’s
head-shaving challenge. Following the example of several principals
from last year’s Show ‘N Shine and Pinewood Drag Races, including
Spagnola and SEMA Cares Committee Chairman Joel Ayres, Kersting has
agreed to shave his head to benefit the Childhelp and Victory Junction
Gang Camp children’s charities.
