Platinum Equity announced that it has acquired a majority interest in Keystone Automotive Holdings Inc., the parent company of Keystone Automotive Operations Inc.
("Keystone"). Platinum reports that it will work with the company's
management team on an operational plan to improve Keystone's ability to
compete in the automotive specialty-equipment market.
The 2011 JE Pistons NMRA/NMCA West Coast Shootout presented by Lucas
Oil—July 8–10, at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California—will feature
the Racers Against Street Racing (RASR) True Street Challenge.
Companies interested in developing a GM-based project vehicle are
required to submit proposals no later than Wednesday, May 11, 2011.

Action Sports Icon Brian Deegan Partners With Ford: Action
sports icon Brian Deegan parented with Ford Racing to compete in
multiple action motorsports platforms. He will compete in short course
Pro 2 in a Ford Raptor in the Lucas Oil Off Road Series, and he will
drive the Ford Rockstar Metal Mulisha Fiesta in select Global
RallyCross Championship events and at X Games. Deegan is considered a
pioneer in action sports, is the founder of the Metal Mulisha, has
participated in every Summer X Games to date and has 12 medals at the X
Games.
