Join the staff of the SEMA Data Co-op for a day of information and education about Product Data Management on Monday November 4.
Manufacturer's reps know that information sells parts. Tell a retailer or jobber the benefits and details of a manufacturer’s product line, and you’re halfway to an order. And that’s why reps should ensure that they take the time to learn about the latest and most important industry information tool: the SEMA Data Co-op (SDC).
Rich Barsamian, chair-elect of the Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC) and Brian Reese, chair of the Emerging Trends and Technology Network (ETTN), were elected to the Council-Board Leadership Committee (CBLC) at last week’s Council Leadership Summit in Pomona, California.
Here’s the big news: The SEMA Data Co-op is currently building SEMA Search, an online product look-up tool powered by the SDC product information library.
Not too long ago, it took an expert in HTML to enable you to launch a website for your business. It was all very mysterious and was often communicated in a “trust us, you wouldn’t understand” manner.
The Manufacturers Representative Network (MRN) and the SEMA Data Co-op (SDC) have announced the launch of a new certificate program exclusively for MRN members.
The SEMA Data Co-op (SDC) has completed implementation of its online Product Data Management System (PIMS) with the launch of its ACES mapping tools, May 6, 2013. All beta-phase members have been migrated into the PIMS, and more than 150 suppliers and receivers have been trained on the new system and are successfully managing their product data using SDC tools.
Well, now the real fun begins! The SEMA Data Co-op’s (SDC)
state-of-the-art data-management system has been up and running for a
couple of months. The usual bugs have been shaken out, and we are
actively receiving and distributing quality product data from nearly 200
suppliers to a horde of anxious receivers. Sure, we’re still adding new
functionality and fine tuning things such as the user interface,
documentation and reporting features, but it’s smooth sailing overall.
The SEMA Data Co-op (SDC)
has announced completion of its beta phase and has now gone into
production mode with the newly developed Product Information Management
System (PIMS).
