On May 14, 2010, Dorian Comeau, owner of House of Boost in Lenexa,
Kansas, was severely injured while testing a 1,500 hp LS-powered off-road
racer, which his company had just completed. The injury has left Comeau
paralyzed with untold and still increasing medical expenses. To help
deal with these expenses, members of the industry and friends of Comeau
banned together and established the Drive to Survive event.

The SEMA Show is the place where specialty-equipment buyers find

The Professional Restylers Organization (PRO),
a SEMA council, invites all industry professionals to attend its first
NovemberFest reception to meet and network with OEM restylers,
manufacturers, industry media and others on Tuesday, November 2, 5:30
p.m.–7:30 p.m., in the Las Vegas Hilton, Ballroom D.
SEMA praised the United States Senate for passing the “Small Business
Jobs and Credit Act” (HR 5297). The bill will be signed into law by
President Obama pending imminent ratification by the House of
Representatives.
The legislation creates a $30 billion fund to provide banks with less than $10 billion in assets access to capital to lend specifically to small businesses while providing tax incentives to encourage business development. In addition, the bill includes $12 billion in tax cuts and stronger government loan guarantees.
