YEN Announces the FY11 Class of Select Committee Members
By Leslie Allen
The 2011 Select Committee elections process was especially grueling for the Young Executives Network (YEN) this year, as we had a slate of top-notch individuals vying for only three vacant seats. These three individuals will play a key role in bringing new ideas to the YEN leadership and guiding the strategic direction of the group of young executives. As a result of the elections process, we are excited to announce the FY11 class.
Chris Crecelius, Hypertech Crecelius literally grew up in this industry, having been exposed to the aftermarket at an early age through his father. He has more than 20 years of experience working at the retail, wholesale and manufacturer levels, with companies such as Honest Charley, P&E Distributors, Holley Performance and Hypertech. He is currently the national sales manager for Hypertech and has held management positions in sales, marketing and technical support. |

Chris Douglas, Comp Performance Group As a lifelong racer, automotive enthusiast and aftermarket professional, Douglas has been provided with many great opportunities in the industry and is passionate about extending those same opportunities to others. He has been fortunate to work with some of the most accomplished professionals in the industry. Through those experiences, he has gained valuable industry insight, team-building skills and big-picture perspectives that will help him to be a strong contributor to the success of YEN. |

Celebrating YEN’s 20th Anniversary in Style!
YEN is excited about celebrating its 20th year, and we hope that you’ll be there to join in the activities in Las Vegas during the annual SEMA Show. A special anniversary edition of the YEN reception will take place on Tuesday, November 2, from 5:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel, Envy Cellar & Pool.
The network will be bringing out those who have contributed to YEN’s success over the years and honor those who have made significant contributions to the group over the past 12 months—an annual tradition with the group. Specifically, we will be honoring all former YENsters who have (unfortunately) aged out of the program by turning 41. We will also be honoring individuals and businesses with the following awards.
- The 2010 YEN Vanguard Award will be presented to a person, company or sanctioning body that has influenced the professional growth and/or cultivation of talent for young executives through actions, mentoring, visions and/or contributions for the past, present and future.
- The 2010 Young Executive of the Year will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary performance and/or provided growth for his/her company or industry through his/her actions, visions and/or contributions for the present and future.
So mark your calendar and plan to join us for a drink during the 2010 SEMA Show! Visit www.SEMA.org/yen for continuing updates.
