UPCOMING CONFERENCE TO PROVIDE
AUTO INSTALLERS AND RESTYLERS WITH VALUABLE
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND HANDS-ON TRAINING TO STAY COMPETITIVE
-- Program to Include Live Demonstrations and Manufacturer-Led Workshops --
DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Feb. 22, 2011) - The Professional
Restylers Organization (PRO), a council of the Specialty Equipment Market
Association (SEMA), will host the 2nd annual Technical Skills & Training
Conference (TSTC), a one-day training program where installers and restylers
will be able to learn about new products, sharpen installation skills and
directly engage with industry manufacturers.
Taking place Monday, March 28, at WyoTech Blairsville in Blairsville, PA, the conference is designed to provide installers and restylers with the unique opportunity to meet with manufacturers in focused, hands-on workshops and live product demonstrations. Participants will be exposed to products that may be outside their current offerings, thereby providing them with an opportunity to increase market share and generate new revenues. The hands-on training and manufacturer-led sessions begin at 9:00 am and conclude at 4:00 p.m. Presented by PRO-member manufacturing companies, the sessions will run multiple times throughout the day, allowing participants to select and attend all the seminars on various topics and participate in the technical training. This year's program also includes a dedicated sales-training workshop, which will focus on sales techniques and strategies for selling dealer-direct.
The PRO council will also hold a general membership meeting at the conclusion of the conference, followed by a networking reception at 6:00 p.m. All TSTC attendees are welcome to attend the open meeting and the mixer.
Cost to attend is $25 for PRO members and includes Continental breakfast, a catered lunch, the open meeting and the networking reception. If more than one company representative plans to attend, the fee is only $15 per each additional employee. Nonmember fee: $50 for the first attendee; $30 for each additional employee. Details and registration is available at www.sema.org/tstc or from Zane Clark at zanec@sema.org, 909/978-6696.
The Professional Restylers Organization is dedicated to addressing the challenges facing the restyling segment of the automotive aftermarket and to developing effective strategies for dealing with industry-specific issues. For more information, visit www.sema.org/pro.
