DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2022) – After pitching their automotive inventions in front of industry judges and Showgoers of the world-renown SEMA Show, the top two finalists of the 2022 SEMA Launch Pad competition have been announced.
Susan Pieper, CMO and founder of DMOS Collective Inc, and Kevin Robinson, president of Trac LLC, were named the two finalists, after having competed along with three additional finalists in what is SEMA’s ultimate product-competition for emerging industry entrepreneurs. Narrowed down from nearly 100 applicants, the five finalists were put to the test and had five minutes to answer rapid fire questions from the judges on why they deserve to win a business-launching prize package of a lifetime. Each finalist shared what makes their product unique, improvements they made since the last meeting the judges earlier this year, as well as the struggles and wins they’ve encountered with their product along the way.
Judges included Chip Foose, award-winning vehicle builder and artist best known from the TV hit series Overhaulin’; Jared Hare, an innovator and entrepreneur who founded Addictive Desert Designs; Myles Kovacs, a trendsetter who founded DUB Magazine and launched TIS Wheels; and Alex Parker, industry advocate and CMO of the 2020 SEMA Manufacturer of the Year Winner Redline Detection.
Pieper and Robinson will now pitch their products one last time in front of a live audience at the coveted SEMA Show Industry Awards Banquet, Thursday, Nov. 3, and vie for a grand-prize package totaling nearly $100,000. Attendees of the banquet will have the ultimate vote in who will be named this year’s Launch Pad winner.
Pieper’s product – Stealth and Delta Car Shovels – are premium indestructible shovels that are easy to stow and mount on various vehicle racks and platforms. Robinson’s product – the TRAC Tire Jack - Tool designed to make removing or installing a wheel/tire from a vehicle safer, simpler, and easier.
