SEMA Town Hall Meetings Will Return in 2012
SEMA Town Hall Meetings are relaxed, informal gatherings that allow staff to hear from members about the challenges and opportunities facing their businesses and learn how SEMA can better serve them. |

In an ongoing effort to better connect with its members using face-to-face meetings, SEMA held four town hall meetings in 2011 in different parts of the country.
These relaxed, informal gatherings allowed staff to hear from members about the challenges and opportunities facing their businesses and learn how SEMA can better serve them. Association staff and panelists consisting of key leaders from the SEMA Board of Directors, councils and committees shared valuable feedback with SEMA members. In 2011, SEMA held Town Hall Meetings in Arizona, Texas, North Carolina and Washington.
Pleased with the success of the meetings in 2011, SEMA will be on the road again in 2012 to deliver three town hall meetings. The 2012 events will include visits to St. Charles, Illinois; La Grange, Kentucky; and Brooklyn, Michigan.
The 2012 SEMA Town Hall Meeting schedule will include the following events:
St. Charles, Illinois, Friday, February 24: The first town hall meeting of 2012 will be held on Friday, February 24, at the Pheasant Run Resort at the Race & Performance Expo in St. Charles, Illinois. It will be hosted by Winners Circle Speed & Custom Inc.
La Grange, Kentucky, Friday, April 13: The next Town Hall Meeting will take place Friday, April 13, and will be hosted by Parts Unlimited Inc. at the company’s facility in La Grange, Kentucky.

Town Hall Meetings are free to attend, and food and drinks are provided. If you are a SEMA member or are employed in the automotive industry and are interested in learning more about SEMA, we encourage you to participate.
The meetings are a great opportunity to network with friends and meet with other industry peers. You might even get an opportunity to speak with one of your local legislators.
Dress code for the Town Hall Meetings is business casual, so come relaxed and keep your suits and ties in the closet! All events take place from 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. local time.
With today’s reliance on digital communications (e-mail, tweets, social media), meeting face to face helps initiate meaningful, two-way dialog that results in better services for members.
