SEMA SHOW'S HOTTEST VEHICLES TO CONTEND FOR SEMA AWARD
DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2011) – Vehicle models that are
expected to have a significant presence at the 2011 SEMA Show have been named
as contenders for the 2011 SEMA Award. The coveted award recognizes the
industry's hottest vehicle platforms by tallying every booth vehicle at the Show,
then naming the most prominent models as SEMA Award winners in four categories:
Hottest Car, Hottest Truck, Hottest 4x4-SUV and Hottest Sport Compact.
"The SEMA Award contenders were named based on a number of key factors," said Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO. "These vehicles have all proven themselves as noteworthy and most likely to be in the running for this year's SEMA Award."
While the exhibitors are the ones who will ultimately determine the winners, several vehicles are expected to have a significance presence at the Show based on factors such as the support the automaker has demonstrated to the SEMA industry, preregistrations of the Show's feature vehicles, involvement in one or more SEMA OEM collaboration programs, coverage in enthusiast publications and more.
