Each year, a group of dedicated employees of SEMA-member companies recruits new SEMA and council members. Through the SEMA Ambassador Program, members have an ideal way to develop relationships within the industry and to recruit new members. The SEMA Ambassador Program is in its 18th year. It was designed to ensure the success of the association and the automotive specialty-equipment industry by connecting companies and individuals within the industry.
SEMA Ambassadors fulfill an important role by participating in the Member-Get-a-Member recruitment campaign, sharing the value of SEMA membership with non-members; advising and mentoring new members by escorting them to industry events; and encouraging volunteer participation among other SEMA members. If you would like more information about volunteer opportunities, such as the Ambassador Program, visit www.SEMA.org/ambassador or call A.J. Carney at 909/978-6697.
This year’s SEMA Ambassadors recruited 98 new association members and 26 new council members during the 2010 Member-Get-A-Member campaign, which ran from July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010. In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the 2010 SEMA Ambassadors will be honored at a special luncheon during the SEMA Show, with top honors going to the “Ambassador of the Year” winner, Jim Barber of Classic Automotive Restoration Specialists.
Congratulations Ambassadors!
