SEMA Speed Networking Breakfast Sells Out Quickly
By Leslie Allen
The SEMA Networking Breakfast is your ticket to one of the most sought-after networking events at the SEMA Show. Sponsored by the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN), this combined awards breakfast and speed networking event—open to all SEMA members—is a hot item that sells out fast. The SBN is a dynamic group of professional women who are committed to the career advancement of women in the aftermarket through the development of the SEMA Mentoring Program, education and networking opportunities. This annual SEMA event is the quickest and easiest way to meet peers, new prospects, potential employers or vendor associates who could be instrumental in the growth of your business or career.
The breakfast is also the traditional venue for the SBN to give special recognition to individuals or companies that are making extraordinary strides to advance the potential of women and newcomers in the automotive specialty-equipment industry. Through peer nominations and selection processes, the winners of three awards—2010 SBN Athena, Mentor of the Year and Woman of the Year—are kept secret until the breakfast announcement, which greatly adds to the anticipation and excitement of the presentation.
Support Our Sponsors
SBN would like to extend its most sincere thanks and appreciation to this year’s generous sponsorship of the 2010 SEMA Networking Breakfast. Their support ensures that we will be able to provide the quality event you have come to expect. |

The prior-year winners present the awards at the breakfast. This year’s presenters will be Laurel Dasher, marketing director of Superchips, who was the 2009 SBN Woman of the Year; Lyn St. James, accomplished race driver and winner of the 2009 Athena award; and Jason Bruce, who was honored in 2009 as the first person to receive the Mentor of the Year award.
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet movers and shakers and make new contacts. The Speed Networking event begins immediately following the breakfast awards presentation. Here you have the opportunity for quick introductions (bring lots of business cards) with other attendees in short, five-minute intervals.
Mark your calendar and go to www.SEMA.org/sbn now to purchase your tickets. Last year’s event sold out quickly, and only 250 tickets are printed for this sought-after event. The SBN awards reception and SEMA Networking Breakfast will be held at the Las Vegas Hilton, Ballroom A, on Thursday, November 4, from 7:15 a.m.–9:00 a.m.
