NADA CONVENTION FEATURES SESSION FOCUSED ON ACCESSORIES MARKET
SEMA’s Zane Clark Presents “Success Without Boundaries: Maximizing Aftermarket Sales”

Diamond Bar, Calif. (January 24, 2011) - A dedicated Aftermarket Zone and a rare presentation from the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) will provide attendees at the 2011 National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention & Expo with a chance to discover how relevant and profitable the aftermarket can be for new-car and -truck dealerships.

Taking place February 4-7, 2011, in San Francisco, CA, the NADA Convention is a trade-only event where auto dealers gather to learn about new business opportunities. Research shows that displaying modified vehicles and selling accessories can help dealers increase both sales and profits. SEMA Council Director Zane Clark will elaborate on the opportunities as he examines the industry outlook and opportunities during the presentation, “Success Without Boundaries: Maximizing Aftermarket Sales.”

“This session will provide attendees with a true appreciation for the challenges and opportunities presented by operating a dealer accessory program on a day-to-day basis,” said Clark, who spent 13 years running several successful aftermarket departments for dealerships before joining SEMA. Clark will draw from his real-life experience as he delves into integrating various types of accessory programs, best practices, and maximizing sales through all facets of operations.

The presentation will take place three times during the NADA Convention:

  • Friday, February 4, 2011: 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Room 2022 West
  • Sunday, February 6, 2011: 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Room 2003 West
  • Monday, February 7, 2011: 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. – Room 2003 West
