ETTN Puts Technology Front and Center

Throughout the weeklong SEMA Show, held October 29–November 2, the Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) was involved in several forums designed to inform industry peers of advancements in vehicle technology. On Monday, a day dedicated to high-powered seminars, ETTN members and technology-savvy colleagues from other SEMA councils participated in a session titled “New Technologies, New Opportunities: Vehicle Technology Roundtable.”

At a second seminar held on Tuesday, the topic centered on “Racing and Performance: Keeping Technology at the Forefront.” Then, to help attendees gain an understanding of the intricacies of driver-assistance systems such as lane-departure warning and adaptive cruise control as well as what’s involved in integrating aftermarket products, a Wednesday session focused on “Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS): Customizing with Confidence.” To wrap up its activities, ETTN hosted a luncheon on Thursday just prior to its seminar, “Advanced Vehicle Technology: Practice, Policy and Challenges.”

The ETTN Vehicle Tech Lunch & Learn afforded the network an opportunity to present its annual awards to two leading professionals.
The honorees were Aaron Aldrich of Any Level Lift, winner of the ETTN Techie Award, and Kelleigh Ash of Rolling Big Power, who received the ETTN Ambassador Award. The event was geared toward automotive technical, engineering and design professionals and also gave attendees an opportunity to mingle with select committee members and participate in roundtable discussions during lunch with representatives of FARO, Stratasys and the SEMA Garage.
