Jeep Wrangler 392FCA is on a mission to keep the ’21 Jeep Wrangler on top of the off-road market despite a new threat from the upcoming ’21 Ford Bronco. The Jeep brand recently showed off a concept revealing that V8 power will come to the iconic off-roader. The Jeep brand introduced the Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept—a four-door Wrangler powered by the 6.4L Hemi V8 making 450 hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque and capable of a 0–60 mph in less than 5 sec. Now a preproduction prototype has been caught on the street. Expect the production model to feature an eight-speed automatic transmission and stay true to the concept. A 6.4L Hemi Wrangler would mark the first time that the off-road brand offered a V8 option since the ’81 Jeep CJ. |  |

Genesis G70 Shooting BrakeHere’s a first look at the Genesis G70 Shooting Brake. The prototype was snapped undergoing testing in Germany. While camouflaged, it’s obvious that we’re looking at the G70 wagon. The more utilitarian body style of the Genesis G70 will launch with a facelift of the current model. It features split horizontal headlights and taillights similar to those found on the larger G80 sedan and GV80 SUV. We’ve already seen the same lighting on the facelifted Genesis G70 prototypes, so these photos make it clear that the G70 Shooting Brake will wear them as well. To justify the Shooting Brake description, the G70 wagon appears to favor sporty styling over practicality. Expect an official debut in 2021. |  |

’22 Jeep Grand CherokeeThis is the ’22 Jeep Grand Cherokee caught testing out west. The vehicle will get a complete redesign, inheriting a new platform derived from Alfa Romeo’s Giorgio underpinnings. It will be significantly beefed-up for a Jeep, but it allows for more technological advancements than the current WK2 Grand Cherokee that was designed in the DaimlerChrysler days. Included in the upgrades will be a 48V electrical system to power a new inline six-cylinder with mild hybrid assist, which is part of a new engine family from FCA. It’s expected that this engine might supplant the 5.7L Hemi V8, although a V8 is all but certain to continue to power high-performance versions of the Grand Cherokee. |  |
