Cadillac CT4 V BlackwingHere’s the upcoming Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing track testing in Milford, Michigan. These shots show the upcoming CT4 family range-topper with its production-intent front end. It hasn’t been seen until now. Compared to the regular CT4-V, the Blackwing has a smaller upper grille and a larger lower grille. That lower unit has horizontal “slats” on each side. The CT4-V Blackwing will be powered by a 3.6L twin-turbo V6 engine carried over from the ATS-V, where it made 464 hp and 445 lb.-ft. of torque. A 10-speed automatic will replace the eight-speed auto previously offered in the ATS-V, and a six-speed manual will be offered. Expect a debut later this year and an on-sale date in 2021. |  |

’22 VW Golf AlltrackThe next-gen VW Golf Alltrack has been spotted in Germany barely wearing any disguise: The Alltrack tries to dupe onlookers with a fake front—not fooling anyone—and some creative camouflage has been employed around the taillights, which have been made to look like the current car’s. Most of the differences between the wagon and hatch are found aft of the B-pillar. In addition to a longer, flatter roof, there’s also a modified window layout for the rear door, and a more extensive rear overhang. The new wagon should be available with most of the hatch’s drivetrain options, including a 48V mild hybrid. Like the hatchback, the wagon will likely feature car-to-car and car-to-infrastructure communication. |  |

Corvette C8 Z06Here’s a prototype of the upcoming Corvette C8 Z06 undergoing testing. All prototypes spotted feature a staggered wheel/tire configuration, with the rear tires being particularly wide. Compared to a regular Stingray that was also part of the convoy (along with a Ferrari 458 and a Porsche GT2 RS), the eighth-gen Z06 has a wider stance. There’s camouflage covering what is imagined to be carbon-fiber wheels, and note the center-exit dual exhaust, which is the first time this kind of exhaust configuration has been seen on the C8. A high-revving DOHC 5.5L V8 is expected to be under the hood, based on the racing engine introduced in the C8.R last year. |  |

’22 Hyundai Genesis G70The Genesis G70 is set to receive a substantial makeover, as evidenced by a prototype recently spotted testing in the Austrian Alps. The G70 only arrived for 2019, but Genesis wants to update the styling so it matches the rest of the cars in the automaker’s lineup (namely the new G80 and GV80). Key changes will be the adoption of Genesis’ quad-element lighting theme, where each light cluster is split to give the effect of four individual elements, front and rear. A bump in horsepower for the current 252hp 2.0L turbocharged inline-four is possible. The current 365hp 3.3L twin-turbocharged V6 will likely carry over so the G70’s V6 doesn’t trounce the 375 hp of the newly developed 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 in the G80.
