Share Your Story on Shell’s Stage at the 2017 SEMA Show

Shell is looking for automotive personalities and enthusiasts to share their stories on the Shell “Pioneering Performance” live stage at the 2017 SEMA Show. Exhibitors with a new, state-of-the-art product, individuals with an interesting story to tell, builders with a project on display and current auto racers are all invited to take their turn on the “Pioneering Performance” stage.

If you would like to be considered, email shelllivestage@gmail.com by September 30 and explain why you should join Jeff Allen, host of the highly rated automotive podcast “Skidmarks Show” and previous host of CNBC’s “The Car Chasers,” on the live stage.

Last year’s attraction offered attendees incredible giveaways and sweepstakes, more than 25 adrenaline-inducing vehicles, on-stage celebrity interviews and insights on Shell’s innovation in sustainable clean energy.

New SEMA Show Event Gives Journalists Advance Preview of Vehicle Debuts

Media and exhibitors at the 2017 SEMA Show will get an advance preview of select vehicles during the Cruise In—a new feature that will take place during the SEMA Show Exhibitor Appreciation Reception on Monday, October 30, 2017.

As exhibitors unwind from booth setup and prepare for the opening day of the Show, top vehicles will roll onto a stage in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center, where builders will be on hand to share details and stories about the celebrated vehicles.

The Cruise In will begin at 4:00 p.m., following the annual Media Preview Exclusive, which takes place from 12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. Presented by SEMA’s Truck and Off-Road Alliance council, the Media Preview Exclusive features nearly two dozen exhibitors and caters specifically to editors and reporters.

These events, along with media credentials to the SEMA Show, are free to qualified journalists. Registration is available online at www.SEMAShow.com/register.

The “Boosted Bronco” concept is designed to emphasize power, style and efficiency.

WD-40 to Debut “Boosted Bronco” at 2017 SEMA Show

WD-40 and Vaccar are crafting the “Boosted Bronco” concept for the 2017 SEMA Show—a Ford Bronco with an updated resto-mod design that emphasizes power, style and efficiency. The 4x4 Bronco is based on the original “uncut” body (’66–’77).

With the vehicle in its early stages, specific details are limited, however, the off-road classic will be powered by Ford’s EcoBoost drivetrain, feature WD-40’s iconic color scheme, and ride on a 5-in. lift kit and 33-in. wheels. The build is based on a pre-’76 model of the Bronco. That decision was made to help ensure that the classic will more easily adhere to stricter vehicle emissions laws by state, a consideration that will also accommodate future owners of the Bronco.

Showgoers can catch the “Boosted Bronco” on display in the WD-40 booth at the SEMA Show. After the Show, the vehicle will be available for press and marketing purposes before its auction in 2018. Proceeds from the auction will benefit SEMA Cares charities.
