Casting Call for SEMA Battle of the Builders
Applications are now being accepted at www.SEMAignited.com for the 2015 SEMA Battle of the Builders competition. | |
Applications are now being accepted for the 2015 SEMA Battle of the Builders, the association’s build competition that debuted last year and was the focus of a Velocity TV special viewed by more than one million fans. The 2014 TV show culminated at SEMA Ignited—the official SEMA Show after party.
The inaugural competition featured a prestigious group of builders showcasing their vehicles at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where a panel of automotive editors narrowed the list down to 10 finalists. The winner was then selected by the 10 finalists themselves, with the entire process documented in a one-hour TV special that continues to air on the Velocity Channel.
Battle of the Builders is open to builders with a display, feature or booth vehicle in any market segment at the 2015 SEMA Show. Eligible builders are encouraged to enter the competition at www.SEMAignited.com.
New SEMA Show First-Time and Featured Exhibitor Area
The 2015 SEMA Show will include a new expansion area to accommodate additional exhibitors. Located in the outside area south of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC, adjacent to the Renaissance Hotel), this new First-Time and Featured Exhibitors area will include a transportation hub and serve as a primary thoroughfare into the Show.

The 2015 Show, which is on track to include nearly 2,400 exhibitors, will house a total of four First-Time and Featured Exhibitors areas, serving as extensions to the Show’s 12 designated floor sections and enabling additional manufacturers to meet buyers and gain Show exposure. Each will include a unique feature or attraction.
“Several factors are taken into consideration before determining the location of Show features and attractions,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of communications and events. “With new space near the Renaissance Hotel now available, 2015 SEMA Show exhibitors will be better served by a hub offering parking, buses and taxi drop-off.”
Designed as natural extensions to existing nearby floor sections, the four expansion areas are:
Performance Pavilion: Outside area south of the LVCC, behind the Renaissance Hotel; Upper South: Upper level of South Hall on the east side; Grand Lobby Meeting Rooms: LVCC meeting rooms N100–N120, between North and Central Halls, east of the Grand Lobby; and Westgate Pavilion: Located in the pavilion area of the Westgate Hotel, just north of the LVCC.
The 2015 SEMA Show will not include the Gold Pavilion. Instead, the area across from Paradise Road will offer Show parking. To view the online floorplan or for more details, visit www.SEMAShow.com.
