When It Hits: The official debut of the SLS AMG Convertible is slated for the first half of 2011.
What Priddy Says: Unlike the coupe, which features gullwing doors, the convertible will have a more traditional entry and an SLR-like powered soft-top. Priddy expects that the convertible will be somewhat heavier due to the required chassis reinforcement. |
When It Hits: The XTS is set for production in March of 2012 at the Oshawa plant.
What Priddy Says: Both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models will be available, and the 3.6L V6 is the expected standard powertrain. A turbocharged V6 should be available for an upmarket model, with a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 being the rumored choice. |

When It Hits: Look for the 300 SRT8’s debut later this year.
What Priddy Says: This ready-for-dealerships ’12 Chrysler 300 SRT8 features 20-in. SRT wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires. It is fitted with four-piston Brembo brakes with slotted rotors, and it’s clad in deep cherry-red crystal pearl paint. Under the hood will be the new 6.4L V8 Hemi pushing 465 hp and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. It should be mated to a five-speed automatic. |
When It Hits: The Q3 should go into production later this year at the Seat factory in Martorell, Spain.
What Priddy Says: The Q3 will share the PQ35 chassis with the Volkswagen Tiguan but with a sportier-tuned suspension. For the U.S. market, the engine lineup should start with the turbocharged 2.0L hitting 200 hp, but it is not yet clear whether the U.S. version will offer a diesel, a hybrid or another up-market powertrain. |
