Attendees at the 2024 SEMA Show, November 5-8 in Las Vegas, can take part in a one-of-a-kind leadership training led by renowned Dale Carnegie, the global training organization that has helped thousands of businesses and millions of people create positive change and successful growth.
Offered on Tuesday, November 5, and Wednesday, November 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT, the "Management Essentials for Leaders, Presented by Dale Carnegie" SEMA Show Education session will help business owners and leaders gain new skills in confident and assertive leadership within the automotive aftermarket sector.
The session will kick off with presentations from a panel of industry leaders followed by three interactive workshops:
Session 1: The Confident Leader: Communicate with Impact
- This workshop equips individuals to turn reluctance into confidence, helping them conquer self-defeating thoughts and broaden their comfort zones. Participants will gain skills to communicate clearly, confidently and purposefully, fostering personal and professional growth.
Session 2: Secrets to Leading with Assertiveness
- This workshop helps participants recognize various behavioral styles, such as passive, assertive and aggressive, in themselves and others. They will learn to confidently assert themselves without seeming aggressive, master persuasive speaking and effectively apply assertiveness to gain cooperation.
Session 3: Driving Dialogue: Navigating Difficult Conversations
- During the final workshop, participants will use skills from earlier sessions to handle challenging situations diplomatically. They will learn the six rules for disagreeing agreeably and hone their abilities in giving and receiving constructive feedback, promoting positive interactions and resolving conflicts effectively.
SEMA Show attendees who sign up and complete the course will receive a free copy of "Take Command: Chapter 1 – Take Command of Your Thoughts" by Dale Carnegie, access to a complimentary Growth Opportunity Analysis, certificate of completion with 0.04 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and participant materials which include Dale Carnegie's Golden Book, a pen, a chance to win their own copy of "How to Win Friends and Influence People" and a Dale Carnegie scholarship valued at $2,395.
