Jerid Suchy of Derive Systems has been named the SEMA Young Executives Network’s (YEN) latest spotlight member. Suchy is a new volunteer on the YEN Select Committee, and he has some great advice to share with the industry in his Q&A with SEMA.
SEMA: What is the best advice you have ever received?
Jerid Suchy: Apply 100% toward every task you tackle, no matter how small it may seem.
SEMA: What keeps you in the industry?
JS: The passion that everyone working in this space has for the industry. It is exciting to show up to work every day knowing that you are contributing to further the enjoyment that enthusiasts and consumers get from modifying their vehicles.
SEMA: On a Saturday, where can you be found?
JS: I spend much of my weekends with my wife and two daughters, working on various projects in my garage, or taking trips to the lake to go boating or water skiing.
SEMA: How do you prepare for an important meeting?
JS: I like to take a few minutes ahead of time to clear my mind from any distractions and focusing on being fully present and ready.
SEMA: If you could go to lunch with one industry leader, living or dead, who would it be?
JS: Ed Iskenderian.
