HRIA Reception Highlighted by Jerry Kennedy, Alex Xydias Hall of Fame Inductions

The Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) held its annual industry awards reception, Wednesday evening, at the Westgate Resort and Casino. The event kicked off with the Presentation of the Colors by the National Color Guard. Six hot rods were on display, as well as the Builder’s Challenge pinewood cars which were auctioned off to benefit SEMA Cares.

Rick Love of Vintage Air emceed the awards presentation, as Jerry Kennedy of the NSRA and Alex Xydias of Alex Xydias & Associates were inducted into the HRIA Hall of Fame.

Roadster Shop was named HRIA Business of the Year, which honors a company’s excellent commitment and contributions to the hot rod industry and hobby.

To honor an individual’s long-term commitment to the hot rod industry, the HRIA created the Industry Recognition Award. The award was presented to Brian Downard of Lokar Performance.

The award honors an employee or principle of an HRIA member company for having a notable, positive impact on the overall market and hobby for a period of 10 years or more.
