On Wednesday, November 5, Seth Mattison, founder and chief movement officer of FutureSight Labs, will lead SEMA's Keynote & Coffee session entitled, “The Future of Work Today: Insights From the New World of Work.”
Mattison advises some of the world’s largest corporations on the key shifts happening in the workplace, the changing workforce, the requirements for leadership and the future of work.
“The generation now entering the workforce can make a huge contribution to your company,” Mattison said, “if we can just get past the generational gaps.”
Getting past those gaps by challenging conventional thinking about leadership will be the subject of Mattison’s presentation.
Mattison—who has helped companies, including MasterCard, Kraft Foods and Pepsi, change their leadership models—will clue attendees into the five most important trends shaping the future of work today and turn them into concrete takeaways that they can use in their businesses.
In this session, Mattison will instruct attendees on how to:
- Harness the power and perspective of top talent.
- Tap into the hidden brainpower throughout their organization.
- Establish an ongoing system to nurture and harvest the best ideas from every corner of the company.
- Learn how to adapt more quickly and proactively to changes in the marketplace.
- Foster a culture of stewardship on the part of every generation as they think about their careers, capabilities, resources and values.
By the time attendees have finished their cup of coffee with Mattison, they will be confident in knowing what’s coming next in the new world of work, have more perspective on what’s driving changes in the workforce and have the perspective to see beyond the latest fads and clearly understand the real trends shaping the business landscape in the next decade.
