The Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at the 2014 SEMA Show's New Products Awards Breakfast.
The prestigious Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at the 2014 SEMA Show, during the New Products Awards Breakfast, Tuesday, November 4. Founded nearly a decade ago, the award is presented to the founders and pioneers of the hot-rod industry. For the first time ever, the award will be presented at the SEMA Show.

“The SEMA Show is the most logical and best home for the Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award,” said Terry Karges, executive director of the Petersen Automotive Museum. “As a pioneer in the industry, Mr. Petersen was an inspiration and mentor for many in the industry.”

Petersen started Hot Rod magazine in 1948 with $400. The Petersen empire grew to become the largest and most successful publishing enterprise in the West. Hot Rod, Motor Trend and dozens of other Petersen titles packed newsstand racks throughout the U.S. and, at their peak, Petersen magazines reached nearly 80 million readers per month.

Showgoers are invited to attend the New Products Awards Breakfast taking place November 4, at 7:30 a.m. at the Westgate Resort & Casino by securing tickets online. Tickets to the breakfast are free, but because space it limited, they are required. In addition to a sit-down breakfast, the event features presentations for the best new products in the industry and the SEMA Award for the industry’s hottest vehicles.
