Odyssey Battery by EnerSys Announces Winner of "Top Moment of Summer" Contest   
Odyssey Battery by EnerSys announced the company's Facebook photo-sharing contest known as "Top Moment of Summer." Amanda Kasper of Clear Lake, Iowa, received the most votes for her photo submission and was awarded the best moment of summer per contest rules. As a result, Kasper received the grand prize package, including two tickets to an upcoming Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS), a Global Rallycross (GRC), NHRA or NASCAR Racing event of her choice, a $250 Visa Gift Card, and an autographed ODYSSEY battery sponsor memorabilia.

ACAT Global Purchases Emico Technologies
Advanced Clean Air Technologies (ACAT) Global purchased Emico Technologies of Barrie, Ontario, manufacturer of automotive catalytic converters for aftermarket applications, down pipes and exhaust system components. According to a recent announcement, the companies will remain separate entities, but will share technology, engineering, design, manufacturing, packaging and distribution capabilities. The transaction closed in August, and ACAT has begun shipping its metallic substrates to Emico’s facility in Barrie, and engineers and product designers from both organizations have started collaborating on new product plans. The companies will share a display at the 2013 SEMA Show. The ACAT/Emico booth can be found in the Racing & Performance section in booth #25153.

CCL Acquires Worldwide Rights to Nano-Fusion Product Line
Worldwide rights to the Nano-Fusion product line and related intellectual property were acquired by CCL from Avery Dennison as part of the Office & Consumer Products and Designed & Engineered Solutions transaction that was completed July 1. The sale does not affect sales of Avery Dennison products, including Supreme Wrapping Films and other colored and clear vehicle wrap and protection films sold under the Avery Dennison brand. Nano-Fusion products are now available exclusively from CCL Design.

Axalta Coating Systems in India received the Best Performance Award from Tata Marcopolo Motors Ltd., an India-based joint venture between Tata Motors and Marcopolo S.A. of Brazil. With daily production reaching almost 70 buses during its peak season, Tata Marcopolo has become one of Asia’s leading bus manufacturers. This is the third consecutive year that Tata Marcopolo selected Axalta Coating Systems for its prestigious award out of its pool of suppliers, acknowledging Axalta’s commitment to provide consistent, high-performance coatings solutions. The award was based on the parameters of safety, delivery, quality, cost and service. Axalta has been Tata Marcopolo’s exclusive coatings supplier since 2008.

Xceleration Media Buys Power Automedia's OneDirt.com
Power Automedia recently came to terms with Xceleration Media for the sale and acquisition of OneDirt.com, an online enthusiast magazine covering dirt circle track racing. Power Automedia reported that OneDirt.com has welcomed more than 915,000 visitors in 2013 and connects with 70,600 followers on Facebook. Under Xceleration Media ownership, OneDirt will be a sister publication to its Power & Performance News, and the company intends to expand OneDirt distribution with a supportive special-interest print publication. Xceleration Media takes over the day-to-day management of OneDirt.com on November 1. Leading the OneDirt.com effort for Xceleration Media will be the former editor of Circle Track magazine, Jeff Huneycutt. Specializing in racing and engine tech for the last 14 years, Huneycutt’s accomplishments include authoring two how-to books, one of which received the International Society for Vehicle Preservation Gold Medal. In addition to Circle Track magazine, Huneycutt has also had racing and engine tech articles published in over two dozen magazines.
