Panel participants included Craig Jackson (Barrett-Jackson); Corky Coker (ex-chairman of SEMA 2003–2005, Coker Tire and Honest Charley's Speed Shop); David Freiburger (Editor, Hot Rod magazine); Beau Boeckmann of Galpin Ford, Ed Justice Jr. of Justice Brothers, Richard Earl, grandson of Harley Earl—the father of many iconic auto designs—and host Alan Taylor of Motor Trend TV, plus many others in three separate groups. Highlights of the Los Angeles panel discussions can be viewed at the eBay Collector Car Appreciation page.

Also on the eBay Motors site will be an auction of a GM Futurliner, one of only 11 made, and a piece of automotive history.  In addition, visitors who go to the eBay Motors Collector Car Appreciation Day site can also sign up to win either a trip to the Barrett-Jackson collector car event in Las Vegas September 22–24 or a trip to the 2011 SEMA Show, with airfare and hotel included.

Last year, the U.S. Senate helped launch the first National Collector Car Appreciation Day by passing Senate Resolution 513, in order to promote the enjoyment of the automotive hobby and its enthusiasts everywhere. This year, with the day again marked by a Senate resolution, more than 200 events took place, with clubs, cities and individuals celebrating America’s love affair with the automobile.
