Auto-Tech Teams to Compete at Rev'ved Up 4 Kids Charity Car Show

  The MSD Ignition team competes at the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow National Championship "Showdown at SEMA" at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The 6th Annual Rev'ved Up 4 Kids Charity Car Show will take place on May 1, 2011, at Vic Edelbrock's Garage in Torrance, California, from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and will benefit The Center For Learning Unlimited. Three heats will be held for the competing 15 high school auto-tech teams, starting at 9:00 a.m., followed by 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The teams will compete for college scholarships and the Division 7 Championship, giving them a chance to compete in front of thousands of spectators at the National Championship "Showdown at SEMA" at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November.

  • North Orange County ROP Team #2, Anaheim, California
  • Rancho Alamitos High School, Garden Grove, California
  • Ramona High School, Ramona, California
  • Southern California Regional Occupational Center, Torrance, California

$1,060,000 to Be Offered in Scholarship Money to Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Participants

The School of Automotive Machinists (SAM) and Ohio Technical College (OTC) have supported the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge Program in the past and have now stepped up to commit $530,000 each for the 2011 regular season.
 The following is the scholarship breakdown for each division from each college:


  • 1st Place: $5,000 each student

  • 2nd Place: $3,000 each student

  • 3rd Place: $2,000 each student

  • $1,000 will be awarded to each non-placing student
