Bill North Named VP of Business Development at Classic Design Concepts
Classic Design Concepts (CDC) appointed Bill North
as vice president of business development. North is responsible for
day-to-day operations, new business development and corporate programs.
North was previously with Webasto where he held several positions,
including national sales manager and business development manager.
ASA Tire Holds InfoExpo
At ASA Tire Systems' recent InfoExpo
user conference in Dallas, ASA customers met with experts,
enthusiasts, business leaders and innovators from the tire industry to
network and learn more about the technology used in their tire dealer
businesses. The event included 100 attendees, 15 exhibits and special
networking and social events.
Motorz TV to Premiere on R&R TV
Duke Networks LLC announced that Motorz TV will premiere on the R&R TV cable and satellite network beginning on Sunday, October 31, 2010. Motorz TV, which is hosted by Chris Duke, will air on R&R TV channel 354 every Sunday evening at 10:30 p.m. (EST) to 30 million homes nationwide. Motorz TV shows viewers how to maintain their vehicles and install aftermarket parts step-by-step in layman's terms.
Meyer Distributing Announces New Location, Dates for eMeyer Mega Show
Meyer Distributing Inc. added a new cross-dock location in Detroit. The new location will provide route delivery to the Detroit metro area, Toledo, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Flint and provision shipments to Toronto, Ontario Canada. In addition, Meyer announced that its 2011 eMeyer Mega Show will be held February 21–March 18, 2011. eMeyer is a virtual trade show that spans four weeks and allows retailers nationwide to participate without the costs of travel and time away from the office.
Robby Woods to Appear on the Powerblock
Superchips-sponsored off-road racer Robby Woods will appear on "Powerblock" on Spike TV, October 9 and 10. Woods races in the Lucas Oil Off Road Series in the Pro-2 division with a truck that he and his friends built. Most of the work done on the truck is done in Woods’ backyard, which also has a test track that circles it.
NHRA Unleashed Hits Fox Sports Net in November
The inaugural season of the "NHRA Unleashed" presented by Lucas Oil will air November 7, at 10:30 a.m., on Fox Sports Net. Exclusive preview clips from the shows are now available on NHRAUnleashed.com that will allow viewers to get a sneak peek of the action prior to the series launch date. Created from the footage of each "NHRA Unleashed" event, the two half-hour shows spotlight the weekend-warrior racer and chronicle the excitement and energy they bring to the track.
Ken-Tool Appoints Douglas Romstadt President
Douglas Romstadt was appointed to president of Ken-Tool, effective as of September 20, 2010. Romstadt succeeds Alec Pendleton, who will continue with Ken-Tool as chairman. Romstadt joined Ken-Tool in March, 2004, serving as the company’s comptroller. Romstadt commented, “It is a great honor and opportunity to lead Ken-Tool into the future. I have major shoes to fill, following in the tracks of previous leaders like Scott Meyer and Alec Pendleton."
Shawn Raines Named Sales and Viral Marketing Manager at Fidanza
Shawn Raines was named sales and viral marketing manager for Fidanza Engineering Corp. Prior to his new position, Raines was a sales associate. He is also a business graduate from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania, and has always maintained an active lifestyle in the enthusiast and auto racing scenes. "We're enthusiastic to have Shawn move into this position," said Fidanza President Jeff Jenkins. "We wanted to promote internally; who else knows our company better? We're confident Shawn will help move us in the right direction." Raines has been with Fidanza for more than four years.

Maxxis will introduce Metal Mulisha General Brian Deegan’s hot, new video during the 2010 SEMA Show. The YouTube feature will be shown at 10:30 a.m., November 3, at the Maxxis booth (#41115). The video showcases Deegan’s move from freestyle motocross legend to four-wheel phenomenon. Produced by Maxxis, Metal Mulisha and Rockstar energy drinks, the video will be available on Metal Mulisha’s YouTube channel.
