The SEMA Action Network (SAN), the industry’s outreach to the hobbyist community and your customers, was on hand at Star City Motor Madness in Roanoke, Virginia, this past weekend to kick off celebrations for the first-ever Collector Car Appreciation Day.
Dennis Gage, of "My Classic Car" fame, presented the U.S. Senate Resolution designating July 9 as Collector Car Appreciation Day to the Virginia Museum of Transportation. The resolution, which was secured by SEMA and its councils, recognizes the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society. Restoration businesses help save our nation’s heritage while providing well-paying, high-skilled jobs nationwide.
While Star City Motor Madness jump-started the July 9 celebration, there are many events that will occur on that special day. Follow this link for a current list of events nationwide.
As you celebrate Collector Car Appreciation Day, SEMA members can also help raise awareness of the SAN by placing a logo-link to www.SEMASAN.com on your website. The SAN is a nationwide partnership of car clubs, individuals and SEMA members who work together to promote industry-friendly laws and regulations and stop bad laws in their tracks. The SAN logo link can be found at www.SEMASAN.com.
