Eaton Vehicle Group announced that Rodger Olson joined the organization as automotive global aftermarket sales manager. Olson is responsible for developing the global aftermarket for all automotive products. Rodger has a successful history as an aftermarket sales manager for markets, including military, hybrid, electric and performance. His new role will also take advantage of his extensive engineering background.
Producers of the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) announced that registered attendance for the 2010 event is 15% higher than the previous year at the same time. GAAS 2010 will be held Tuesday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 19 at the Hyatt Regency near Chicago. RepairPal announced that it has begun working with Illumaware, a key provider of electronic and print cataloging solutions, to integrate incoming automotive parts supplier information with their automotive service database. RepairPal is implementing Evokat 2.5, Illumaware’s advanced web-based data authoring tool, to improve the accuracy of RepairPal’s RepairPrice Estimates and expand the breadth of services covered.
HRE Wheels is proud to announce a new contingency program for competitors in the 2010 Pirelli Ultimate Track Car Challenge (UTCC) presented by Grassroots Motorsports magazine. The development allows UTCC competitors to outfit their cars with the latest race-proven lightweight wheels from HRE. Competitors are invited to take advantage of huge discounts available to UTCC racers, and winners will receive an unprecedented contingency package. These discounts are available exclusively to Pirelli Ultimate Track Car Challenge entrants, and orders must be placed before June 1, 2010. In addition to discounts on custom wheel sets for UTCC entrants, HRE is also offering a $2,500 contingency prize to the Overall Winner of the UTCC if he or she is competing on HREs. Three other individual category winners using HRE Performance Wheels are also eligible for $1,000 prizes from HRE, and three top finishers in each category competing while using wheels from manufacturers other than HRE will still be eligible for special discount certificates toward the purchase of a set of HRE Performance Wheels.

According to AutoZone, the award is presented to vendors who are unfazed by obstacles, who go above and beyond the call of duty, who exceed expectations and consistently deliver more than is expected.
