The third-annual Pinewood Drag Race returns during the weekend of the 2010 SEMA Installation Banquet and Gala Fundraiser, July 23-24, in Pasadena, California. |
Summer is not far around the corner, so make plans now to enter the third annual SEMA Pinewood Drag Race! Held in conjunction with the 2010 SEMA Installation Banquet & Gala Fundraiser, July 23-24, at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California, the Pinewood Drags are a great opportunity to help a great cause.
Proceeds from the races benefit Childhelp USA and Victory Junction.
Although the races are still more than three months out, defending champions and runners-up from last year want to waste no time tweaking for those valuable and elusive tenths of a second. Builders/racers can choose one of three classes: Stock, Modified or Unlimited.
No time to build a car? Can't attend? No problem. You can also sponsor a child from Childhelp or Victory Junction to build a car for you and have a driver assigned to race it on the child's behalf.

SEMA Show ‘N Shine
If you're more the show 'n go type who prefers to walk and gawk among precious metal, stop in for the second annual SEMA Show 'N Shine car show, Saturday, July 24, at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Last year's show featured a selection of modern and original muscle, pre-war classics, European exotics, and a little bit of everything in between—more than 150 cars in all. See more of last year's Show 'N Shine here.
Like the Pinewood Drag Races, all entry fees from Show 'N Shine benefit Childhelp and Victory Junction.

2010 Business Technology Symposium and SEMA Installation Banquet & Gala
The weekend’s activities kick off with the Business Technology Symposium (formerly Internet Symposium) presented by the Street Performance Council (SPC), Friday, July 23, from 9:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m. at the Pasadena Convention Center. This year's program will focus on digital marketing communications. Eight essential online marketing communications super sessions, presented by leading industry experts, will cover social media, forums and blogs, data, mobile marketing, digital marketing research, customer relationship management, e-mail and online marketing optimization.
Discounted early bird registration is now available and special discounted pricing is also available to SPC members.
Designed to benefit small business owners, IT staff and marketing and sales teams, registration will open soon. Look for announcements in a subsequent issue of eNews and in a forthcoming SEMA e-mail.
Following the Business Technology Symposium is the 2010 SEMA Installation Banquet and Gala Fundraiser. The banquet honors the most recent class of SEMA Hall of Fame inductees, recognized for their dedication and devotion to their businesses and the specialty-equipment industry, while raising contributions for Childhelp and Victory Junction.
The banquet also serves to welcome the newest members of the SEMA Board of Directors, as well as thank past Board members for their service.
