SEMA’s Jason Tolleson has left the association and accepted a sales position with Source Interlink Media. He will be based out of the company’s offices in Tampa Bay, Florida. Tolleson had been serving SEMA as a council director and liaison for the Street Performance Council (SPC) and Young Executives Network (YEN).
Valley Towing Systems has relocated to a new corporate headquarters in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The state-of-the-art building houses several corporate departments, including accounting, customer service, engineering, human resources, IT, marketing, purchasing and technical service. The company’s manufacturing operations will remain in Lodi, California.

Atrend Enclosures hired Steve Spence as its new national sales manager. Prior to joining Atrend, Spence was employed by Rockford Fosgate as a senior buyer at its speaker division plant located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He handled Rockford’s subwoofer enclosure, home entertainment and Hafler pro enclosure lines. His knowledge of Atrend Enclosures is extensive as he conducted the purchasing of subwoofer enclosures and utilized the “Atrend” enclosure exclusively for Rockford Fosgate.
Clean Burn received the 2009 Save Energy Now Energy Saver award from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Industrial Technologies Program. The award is presented to those companies that participate in a Save Energy Now energy assessment and successfully achieve more than 75,000 MMBtu total energy savings or more than 7.5% total energy savings. One of the unique aspects that made Clean Burn eligible for this award is that the company heats its 125,000-square foot manufacturing facility with recycled used oil through the company’s boilers and furnaces. The company does not use any electricity or natural gas for heat.
The Redline Time Attack series announced that a controlling interest in the series has been acquired by an experienced group of private investors. As a result of the agreement and through securing access to working capital and other resources, the sport of time attack will have a professionally managed and organized sanctioning body positioned to lead the sport for the first time. Redline Time Attack co-founder and President Nikolas Malechikos will be supported by Jackson Stewart, who will serve as executive vice president of the series. Beginning in December, Malechikos will transition into a full-time supporting role for Redline Time Attack, working out of newly remodeled offices in Rosamond, California.
Racing legend and SEMA Hall of Fame member "Speedy" Bill Smith has teamed with noted author Dave Argabright to produce the autobiography, Fast Company: Six Decades of Racers, Rascals, and Rods. The book covers Smith's extensive career in motorsports and the automotive performance industry. Smith’s experiences are captured in exquisite detail in the autobiography, which offers a penetrating and sometimes painful look back at a period unmatched in American history. The book will be available to the public on December 3, and pre-orders are now being accepted at www.americanscenepress.com.

Infineon Raceway distributed more than 5,500 lbs. of non-perishable food items to Friends in Sonoma Helping (FISH) and the Salvation Army Vallejo Food Pantry on November 23 during the raceway's 9th annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. The amount marked the most Infineon Raceway has distributed in one year since the inception of the food drive in 2000. Infineon Raceway has distributed more than 17,500 lbs. of non-perishable food items since 2000.
During the 2009 SEMA Show, exhibitor Alliant allowed all interested exhibitors and attendees to try their chances in the custom-built race simulator outfitted with MasterCrafts newest 3G Race seat for a chance to win a GoPro Camera. Over four days, Alliant seated more than 500 entrants into a two-lap challenge on one of the hardest Gran Turismo tracks. At the end of the four days, David Lewis from Lewis Electronics won the challenge, earning Lewis Electronics the top prize of a new GoPro camera. Allliant would like to thank all of the participants in this year's challenge and is looking forward to next year's event.
