Phase II of the
reports, to be presented in a SEMA webinar on August 13, will cover
vehicle manufacturer plans for powertrain technologies, platforms and
economic forecasts that impact the specialty-equipment and performance
aftermarket. The webinar on September 17 will feature Phase III of the
report, which outlines the major economic drivers of the U.S.
automotive market and their potential impact on SEMA-member companies.
The webinars are moderated by John Waraniak,
SEMA vice president of vehicle technology, and presented by CAR’s Brett
Smith, assistant director, manufacturing, engineering, technology.
SEMA presented the research findings and released advanced copies of Phase
II and Phase III of the multi-phased series of specialty-equipment
forecasting reports at the annual State of the Association meeting in
Pasadena, California, on August 1. Members who were unable to attend the
meeting are encouraged to mark their calendars for the upcoming
webinar sessions. Phase II of the report will be covered on August 13 10:00
a.m.–11:00 a.m. (PST); and the session on Phase III will be conducted on September 17,
10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. (PST).
