She brings more than a year of graphic design and newspaper production experience to ACI.

Karbelt Speed and Custom Inc. announced that Brett Weisbrod has joined their team in the company’s purchasing department. Weisbrod’s 25 years of automotive performance aftermarket experience and skill set are expected to fit well within the company’s strategic plans and initiatives. He will be working alongside Steve Ager in the purchasing department.

Brenton Productions Inc., producers of “Two Guys Garage” and “TRUCK U” on SPEED, are gearing up to produce an informative entertaining special during the 2008 SEMA Show. The hour-long special, set to air on SPEED in late 2008 or early 2009, will cover featured exhibition areas of both the SEMA and AAPEX shows. Sam Memmolo and Bryan Fuller of “Two Guys Garage” and Matt Steele and Bruno Massel of “TRUCK U,” as well as Jessie Combs, will host the special.

“The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas is like none other; the sheer size, scale and scope of the event is simply overwhelming,” commented SPEED’s Vice President of Programming Robert Ecker. “To convey even a sampling of all it has to offer within the confines on an hour-long special is a daunting task, but for those who cannot make the trip in person, this is as close as they could hope to come.”

Pilot Automotive announced that its innovative rocket-powered pinewood drag racer will be on display in the Pilot Automotive booth (#20503) at the 2008 SEMA Show. The car was recently featured in the October issue of SEMA News and is the only rocket-powered pinewood dragster known to exist.

“There is actually an amazing amount of technology in this little car," noted Pilot Automotive COO Mitch Williams. Also on display will be the Pilot Automotive Flying Wing Car. The Rocket Car won the award for Most Creative Interpretation of the Rules, and the Flying Wing Car won the Modified Class at the recent SEMA Pinewood Drag Race.

“Unfortunately, we will not be able to do an exhibition run," Williams added. "There is something about a building full of 100,000 people and a rocket car that just isn’t a good mix.”
