INDIAN GOVERNMENT MAPS OUT GROWTH OF THE AUTOMOTIVE AND AUTO PARTS SECTOR

The Indian government, recognizing the automotive sector as a key area of growth, has developed a comprehensive plan for industry growth. The vision as outlined is "to emerge as the destination of choice in the world for design and manufacture of automobiles and auto components with output reaching a level of $145 billion (USD), accounting for more than 10% of the GDP, and providing additional employment to 25 million people by 2016."
