INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS – TAB #3
It is SEMA’s objective to ensure proper protection of intellectual property rights of its members and Show exhibitors. This includes the protection of trademarks, service-marks, copyrights and patents. With the support of the SEMA Board of Directors, a stringent policy has been put in place. Every effort will be made to eliminate product conflicts and protect those that have legal rights to the products involved.

If  you suspect another company has copied your product or has infringed on your legal rights, please review the information in Tab #3 and contact Show Management, 702/450-7662, ext. 104, cschwartz@convexx.com.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS FOR YOUR PRODUCTS
The U.S. Department of Commerce presents MARKETPLACE—an opportunity to meet U.S. Department of Commerce Automotive Specialists working in U.S. Embassies abroad as part of the Foreign Commercial Service. Commercial Specialists from countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, Caribbean and Latin America will be on hand to 1) present you with a review of their respective markets, 2) for one-on-one consultations on export opportunities for your products, and 3) to discuss products sought by their respective delegations.

MARKETPLACE is an open event with no pre-scheduled appointment required. We encourage you to walk in and meet with commercial specialists from the countries that interest you most. At that time, you may also schedule an appointment for further consultation. MARKETPLACE is especially tailored for you, the exhibitor, and will take place in Room S232 (SkyBridge between Central and South Halls) from 7:30am to 9:00am.

Wednesday, October 31 Latin America/Caribbean
Thursday, November 1 Europe/Africa/Asia/Middle East

IS YOUR BOOTH 400 SQUARE FEET OR LARGER?
If your booth is 400 square feet or larger, you must send an exhibit space floor plan to Show management. Please complete the form in Tab #4 no later than Friday, August 31 and e-mail it with a copy of your floor plan to jschwartz@ConvExx.com, or fax it to 702/450-7732.

HANGING SIGNS - Tab #3
NEW THIS YEAR! Exhibitors that have a hanging sign in their booth must complete the Hanging Sign Design Notification form. It must include the height and width of the sign, the number of sides, exact location over the booth and sign graphics located on the sign.

When shipping your hanging sign, it must be shipped separately from your booth using the Hanging Sign Shipping label located in Tab #14.  Shipping separately is less expensive and will help Freeman hang your banner in a timely manner.

FREIGHT
If exhibitor’s total exhibit freight is 500 lbs. or less and is delivered in one shipment in a privately owned vehicle (POV) (car, half-ton pickup or minivan), SEMA has made arrangements with the Freeman to deliver these materials to your booth at no charge. This assistance will be available from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28 and Monday, October 29. See the Hand Carry Freight Information in Tab #14 of your ESM for more information on Freight.

NEW THIS YEAR!

Baggage and Airport Check-In

  • McCarran International Airport operates a kiosk in the Grand Lobby and North Lobby at the LVCC at which boarding passes for participating airlines can be printed.
  • Passengers traveling on Southwest Airlines, Ted and United Airlines can check-in their luggage at the "bags to go" counter located beside freight door 11 in the Grand Lobby concourse.

Buyer Matching / Online Booth Program

  • SEMA has launched a joint matchmaking service with AAPEX that will provide for registered AAIW buyers and manufacturer representatives to establish meetings with exhibitors, and create a complete calendar of appointments and sessions throughout the SEMA Show.
  • Complementing the matchmaking program is an expanded online booth, at which exhibitors will be provided an opportunity to present greater information regarding their company and product lines directly on the online Show located at www.SEMAshow.com.
  • Want more information?  Contact Marel Del Rio at mareld@sema.org

LANYARD POLICY REVISION
Under the “New This Year” section located in Tab 1 of the 2007 SEMA Show Exhibitor Services Manual, it states that “No lanyards may be given out at booths—only official AAIW lanyards may be used.” After further consideration, exhibiting companies may distribute lanyards from their booths. To better serve all attendees, we highly encourage exhibitors to use dual-clip style lanyards. These style lanyards keep the badge facing the proper direction.
