Businesses and individuals in the truck and off-road industry participated in the pinewood drags at the 2022 SEMA Show TORA Reception to help raise over $5,000 for SEMA Cares charities.
Specifically, $5,125 dollars was raised. The funds will provide much-needed support to children in need at the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, Childhelp, and Victory Junction.
"The SEMA Pinewood Drags is a fun highlight of the TORA reception," said TORA council director Denise Waddingham. "We're grateful to our members who raced a car on the track for a fantastic cause and showed up to support the SEMA Cares mission."
Since 2007, SEMA Cares has brought together charitable giving, community participation and automotive passion through the annual SEMA Pinewood Drag Races. The signature event, which features sponsored miniature wooden cars and trucks, has become a favorite opportunity among members to give back to the charities that best reflect the values and interests of the automotive specialty equipment industry.
