The SEMA Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) held its fiscal-year 2025 long-range planning meeting in New Orleans in January, where select committee members gathered to chart a course for the future of the council.
The long-range planning meeting, unlike other volunteer meetings, is held annually to identify the council's strategic priorities and establish long-term goals that benefit the council's membership and the broader automotive restyling industry.
Key goals included:
- Increase industry awareness of the PRO Cup Challenge (PCC) and perks for competitors, including cash prizes for the PCC winner and People’s Choice awards, vehicle detailing prior to show placement, and expanded exposure on SEMA social media, SEMA News, and the PRO Cup Challenge website.
- Boost member engagement through social media and volunteer outreach.
- Partner with SEMA Government Affairs on issues including (but not limited to) the CARS Ruling, Right to Modify, and Grassroots efforts.
- Explore partnership opportunities with the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA).
To the select committee’s surprise, the meeting in New Orleans, aka the “Big Easy,” was impacted by a once-in-a-lifetime snowstorm. Amid flight cancellations, the committee made the most of its extended stay, using the time to further discuss programs, events, and resources to benefit PRO members.
