Tim Lewis, team leader and cofounder of NHRA Top Fuel team Foley Lewis Racing, has passed away. Lewis started competing in Alcohol Dragster alongside Doug Foley before making the leap to Top Fuel in 2004.

“Tim had a great personality and didn't take life too seriously... No matter my crazy ideas, he was always encouraging and enthusiastic about tackling my vision, whether it was for the team, my business or my family...” said Foley in a release.

In addition, champion drag racing crew chief Bernie Fedderly has passed away. Fedderly first came to national attention in 1980 when he tuned Terry Capp to a win at the NHRA U.S. Nationals, before later joining John Force Racing, where he helped the team to 109 national event wins and 13 championships.

SEMA Hall of Fame Inductee Jim Kerr, meanwhile, passed away at the age of 91. He founded Jim Kerr & Associates in 1967, the automotive parts and accessories-focused manufacturers' representative company in Holland, Pennsylvania.
