Aliceje Keyburn – graphic designer at Race Winning Brands – is FLN's member of the month. Learn about her career, and what keeps her in the industry in her interview with SEMA below.
SEMA: What is the best advice you have ever received?
Get out and network! These connections can come in handy down the road whether it's job hunting, brainstorming, or collaborating. It's good to have resources.
SEMA: What keeps you in the industry?
This industry is always evolving and changing. It's always exciting and the people are great!
SEMA: Where can you be found on a Saturday?
Car cruises, motorcycle events/races or at the beach.
SEMA: How do you prepare for an important meeting?
Double check the agenda if there is one, make notes of ideas you might have so you don't forget when/if you get put on the spot. Try to offer solutions and ideas instead of just pointing out problems or concerns.
SEMA: If you could go to lunch with one industry leader, living or dead, who it would be?
Jessi Combs. I was fortunate to meet here a few times at events and even learn to weld from her. It would have been nice to have more sit-down time to really hear all her stories and ask her more questions.
